Summary: An everyday story of possessed furniture, black silk pyjamas, courtroom drama, premonitions of doom, Death Eater yoga, absinthe and love.
Completed in 2004, this obviously doesn’t follow canon (Sirius lives, Ron dies, etc). At times, I felt characterization was off, but that could easily be attributed to being written before the actual Harry Potter series was finished. Loving!Snape has quite a prominent role as Draco’s god father / mentor, which I loathe… but I’m an avid Snape Hater, so that’s to be expected. Overall, it was a good read—though it does suffer from the Everyone Is Gay cliche (Remus/Sirius & Snape/Lucius).
